Hechere is a vibrant washed coffee from the Oda Muda Kebele near Gerba town in Ethiopia’s Guji Zone. Grown at an impressive 2,200–2,350 meters, this coffee comes from small farms delivering cherry to the Hechere buying site, where it’s processed at a family-run mill led by Gemechu Shonora and his brothers. Using traditional washed methods and sun-drying on raised beds, this Grade 1 lot highlights the floral elegance and syrupy sweetness Guji coffees are known for.
 
This coffee really shines as a pour-over or drip brew, where its aromatics and clarity take center stage. It also makes for a bright, expressive single origin espresso if you’re looking for something lively and refined in the cup.
